🍂 Cooler Weather Is On Its Way! 🍂

As temperatures slowly begin to drop, we’re asking families to help students come to school prepared for the changing weather! 🧥🌬️

Please take a few minutes each evening to check the next day’s forecast and make sure your child has a jacket or sweatshirt for those chilly days. Cooler mornings can make a big difference, especially when students head outside for recess!

Family reminder: Please label your child’s outerwear with their name to help prevent lost items, and make sure they bring weather-appropriate clothing every day.

Helpful Tip: Make it a family conversation! Include your student in checking the weather forecast and talking about what they should wear for the day. This is a great opportunity to help children build independence and learn how to make choices that keep them safe and comfortable in different weather conditions.

Ms. C is one of our amazing Student Support Professionals (SSPs) who works in our WIN (What I Need) Room! 💙 She helps support students as they build skills, grow their confidence, and work toward success.

Meet Mrs. Lepage, our amazing school social worker, who many of our students know as Miss Quinn! 😊 She plays an important role in supporting our students’ social, emotional, and personal growth, helping them navigate challenges and feel successful both in and out of the classroom.

SCCS FAMILIES — WE NEED YOUR HELP BY OCTOBER 6!

We are asking ALL SCCS families to complete the Educational Benefits Application by October 6.

It takes less than 5 minutes, requires just one application per family, and every completed application matters. These applications help determine important state and federal funding for programs and services that benefit our students.

Elementary families: Check those backpacks! A flyer with information about the application is being sent home with students today.

Coming to Literacy Night at Morrish on Thursday? We’ll have staff and Chromebooks available to help any SCCS family complete the application on the spot!

Please don’t assume your family doesn’t need to complete it. We need participation from ALL SCCS families.

Miss Parson’s 5th graders put their teamwork skills to the test as they worked together in groups to complete puzzles. Just like the football teams they drafted through NFeLementary, students learned that communication, collaboration, and working together are key to reaching a common goal!

🦖 Roaring into 3D! 🦕

In Mrs. Neu’s art class, Ms. Cook’s 4th graders transformed their creativity from flat to fantastic as they created dinosaur tri-ramas! Students brought their prehistoric scenes to life by turning 2D ideas into colorful, 3D creations. 🦕🎨

We love seeing our Dragons use their creativity, problem-solving skills, and imagination!
